Types and Levels of Membership

The Society of Environmental Engineers has the following grades of membership tailored to suit the needs of engineers at all stages of their careers.

Associates are those with an interest in environmental engineering. They receive the Journal plus supplements and the Test house directory. They are eligible for all member discounts and can apply for Engineering Council and Society for  the Environment registration. (Note successful registrants must have or transfer to Member).

Members have the additional benefits of:
Full voting rights
Eligible to sit on SEE Council and Committees
Use of MSEE after their name
Eligible to apply for and be registered with Engineering Council as CEng, IEng or EngTech or with The Society for the Environment (SocEnv) as Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv).

Honorary Members & Fellows
An Honorary Member or Fellow shall be a person having distinctive accomplishment in engineering or science or industry or research or public service and those allied pursuits beneficial to the engineering profession. These distinctions are offered by The Society – an individual cannot apply for them.

A Fellow, is one who has attained career distinction. At the time of advancement he/she shall be a corporate member of the Society and shall have been responsible for significant engineering achievements. An individual can apply for Fellowship and it can also be awarded by The Society
