    Industry Affiliate Scheme - Introduction

 

The national standing of the Society as the Professional Body for the Environmental Engineering Sector has led to the need for a review of the status able to be offered to companies that support the Society.

Becoming an Industry Affiliate is effectively the badge that signifies a company's commitment to professionalism in all areas of environmental engineering.

Companies seeking to demonstrate competence, technical innovation, the development of regulation and standards, will be more readily enabled through the Industry Affiliate Scheme.

An Industry Affiliate is not only seen to be involved in supporting and promoting the Environmental Sciences through Society exhibitions, seminars, courses, but is also able to reap dividends through involvement in SEE events and the maintenance of its own employees Continued Professional Development.

Industry Affiliates are also able to cost effectively participate in a wide range of Society activities as well as having routes for their individual engineers to attain professional recognition by becoming registered as EngTech, IEng or CEng through the Engineering Council (UK) and as Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) through the Society for the Environment (SocEnv).

This scheme enables greater interaction between Industry and the Society. The annual membership fee for an Industry Affiliate is £550 and the baseline benefits are as follows:

  • Reduced rates on exhibition tables at all Society events.
  • Up to 4 free copies of the Society's magazine.
  • Free "Situations Vacant" advertising on the Society's Website.
  • Free copy of the periodical "Test House Directory".
  • Able to enroll one person, usually an employee, as a Member of the Society completely free for their first year.
  • Company literature displayed free of charge on SEE stands at exhibitions attended by the SEE.
  • Affiliates name, address and logo displayed in special area of the Society's web pages.
  • Right to use the Society's Coat of Arms on company notepaper, brochures and in advertisements.
  • Link to your website from SEE website.
