QinetiQ Environmental Test Facilities
QinetiQ Ltd is one of the largest research and technology organisations in Europe with extensive test and evaluation facilities, supported by scientific, engineering and materials expertise. Environmental and safety tests are conducted at the following facilities, each with its own unique capability:
Environmental Test Centre (ETC)
located near Southend in Essex, offers a wide range of environmental tests on live explosive stores as well as hazardous and inert components.
QinetiQ Boscombe Down,
located near Salisbury in Wiltshire, offers environmental conditioning and high speed wind testing. The two environmental chambers measuring 25m long, 25m wideand 6.8m high or 7.5m long, 4m wide and 5m high can operate and test equipment between +70 and -70 Degrees Centigrade with full humidity control of the chamber and solar coverage of the test piece.
QinetiQ Fraser,
located near Southsea in Hampshire, the Marine Approval and Testing Services (MATS) is a Type Approval and Testing laboratory for an extensive range of navigation, communication and safety systems.
QinetiQ Aquila,
located near Bromley in Kent, offers a range of activities including Calibration, Qualification and Certification, Asset Management, Component test.
